Talking about the "six strings" version, the preamp unit is a modified sachem pure and the amplifier unit is a hi-end sachem monoblock, with the power supply featuring increased capacitance, totalling 88.000 μF.
The power supply and the final stage of the amplifier unit are oversized, resulting in a tremendous peak max current of 20A on the speaker, equivalent to musical instant peaks exceeding 3200 Watt.
Both the preamp and amp units feature only polypropylene capacitors in the signal path and as few as possible. The use of polypropylene capacitors is of paramount importance to obtain a sweet and mellow sound, similar to a tube amp, but without the dirtiness of the tubes, and ... with a much lightning-fast attack!
The loudspeaker is the much-acclaimed Eminence - Red Fang 12", featuring a large AlnicoV magnet. It provides a "vintage British sound" timbre that is very detailed and creamy. However, if this loudspeaker doesn't meet your musical needs, we can replace it with any 12" driver you prefer.
The loudspeaker is connected to the power amp with a very short, hi-end speaker cable, the Nordost 2 flat, which features solid core conductors, made of 99.9999% oxygen-free copper.
The preamp has two 6.5 mm jack sockets, labelled pre IN and pre OUT, allowing the connection of any effect units or a tuner. Connecting effect units in the preamp-amp loop, rather than between the guitar and preamp, prevents deterioration of the main signal from the guitar.
On the back panel of the amplifier unit, there are two 6.5 mm jack sockets labelled IN and OUT. The IN socket can be used to connect an external, different preamp (if desired), but its primary function is to receive the signal from the OUT socket of another sachem guitar combo. This allows you to connect multiple combos in a cascade configuration as needed.
The preamp features a Standby switch, Gain control, and a Master volume. The tone controls are very versatile: Bass - Mid - Treble, plus a "Presence" switch.
The sachem guitar responds like no other, with incredible speed and total control of the sound. Notes have a lightning-fast attack, and instantly stop, when you stop. Fast, sweet, clean, and clear, it produces a tone full of harmonics, free of any audible distortion, but It also can dial in very creamy and adjustable overdrive, if desired.
This combo can deliver a massive and explosive sound pressure of 125dB/1m, without any strain.
For "superior" performances, or better, to stun people in front of you, you will add an external 8Ω speaker-cabinet, featuring four Red Fang 12" or Red Fang 10" or any other drivers you prefer. In this case, the amplifier "sees" a load of 4Ω (or less), which means it will deliver instant peaks of incredible wattage to the loudspeakers if required. You'll be pervaded with the feeling of a free-flying sound and an eager, endless amplifier, which seems to fully enjoy the very demanding experience!
If that's still not enough and you want to "kill", connect as many sachem guitars in cascade as you want to create a Brian May-style "sound wall". In this configuration, you can also set up a combo with crystal-clear sound and a second one in overdrive. The resulting sound is ... simply amazing!
